Women’s History Month Displays
In honor of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, which is March 8, Hannon Library is currently presenting two displays that celebrate influential women in history. The display on the first floor was curated by the library’s Government Publications Department and highlights women’s wartime contributions. The display includes documents such as A History of the Women Marines 1946 – 1977, and The U.S. Army and World War II.
The third-floor display showcases both national women’s history as well as a history of women at Southern Oregon University. Featuring titles written by or about powerful women including The Legacy of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, If Your Back’s Not Bent: The Role of the Citizenship Education Program in the Civil Rights Movement, and Women in Science, this exhibit curates books from the library’s collection that are available to borrow. The display also highlights items on loan from the Women’s Resource Center and features the National Women’s History Alliance honorees.
The displays will be available for viewing throughout the month of March. If you have a question about the Women’s History month exhibits, please email Hannon Library at email@example.com.
